PELADINE SHIPS IN LYRAN SERVICE      

(R11.9??) LYRAN HEAVY CRUISER (PCA):  After the conquest of the Peladine Republic around Y140, the Lyran Far Stars Duchy found itself desperately short of modern warships. They had, for years, been the recipient of older (Early Years) ships, as priorities gave the new production ships to the other duchies. The brief but fierce war with the Peladine had proved to not be quite the cakewalk anticipated, and had taken its toll on the Far Stars Fleet.

        In desperation, at least one captured Peladine CA was converted for Lyran use as a "stop-gap" measure. The Peladine ships that had fought in the war were virtually brand-new, and Ranel engineers were "encouraged" to assist with the conversions. It is uncertain if any of these ships were still in service as late as the General War; if so, they would have been refit in line with the refits designed for the Peladine Simulator Fleet (again, assisted by Ranel engineers). The refit would include installation of DERFACS, as well as the applicable portions of the standard Peladine "Plus" refit. 

        Balcony positions: 3 left + 3 right. 


(R11.9??) LYRAN DESTROYER (PDD):  Along with the heavy cruiser, at least one or two Peladine destroyers were converted for Lyran service, helping to fill out the Far Stars Fleet with modern warships. The wide disruptor arcs proved popular with the crews, but not enough to override the general distaste of serving aboard a non-native vessel. 

        If any of these converted destroyers remained during the General War, they would have been refit as shown on the SSD.
